Drum for an audience of over 30,000!
Batala Manchester are working with the Adidas Manchester Marathon to make space for ALL of our UK batala drummers to perform together to a massive crowd of runners and spectators!

The Manchester Marathon is one of the UK’s biggest and friendliest mass-participation races. It’s known for being flat, fast, and very social, with a strong community feel. Race day turns large parts of Greater Manchester into a moving street festival, not just a sporting event!

The street entertainment at Manchester marathon is well known to be a stand out feature of the event, bringing great crowd energy along the route and can be quite emotional to hear, our music acts as real motivation, breaking up the miles for the runners and lifting spirits at tough points in the race. For spectators, it feels like a free, city-wide live show that moves past you.
Whilst we are REALLY keen for everyone to play together on the Sunday at what promised to be an amazing event, we recognise that some people will want to explore the city, have leisure time together (especially if they are new to Manchester or not from the North!) or need the afternoon to travel back, so please let us know on the registration form if you will be drumming or not (likely to be a few sets sometime between 11-4pm), it's really important that we have accurate numbers for the organisers so we can get the most appropriate city centre space for our performance.
